Entylink
Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using Entylink.

Plain-language terms that govern every API call, dashboard session, and invoice. Written to be readable; binding in full.

    Who we are

Entylink is operated by ENTYLINK LTD, a company registered in England & Wales. When these Terms say "Entylink", "we", or "us" we mean that entity. When they say "you" we mean the individual or company accepting the Terms by creating an account or making API calls.

  2. 02

    The service

Entylink is a read-only HTTP interface over public UK company registry data sourced from Companies House. We do not originate the underlying records. We transform, cache, and serve that public data under these Terms, and you remain responsible for your own legal and compliance use of the outputs.

  3. 03

    Your account and API keys

You are responsible for keeping API keys secret. Keys are shown once at creation and never again; if you lose a key, revoke it and generate a new one.

Any call made with your key is considered authorised by you. If you believe a key is compromised, revoke it from the dashboard immediately — we will also honour written revocation requests to hello@entylink.com.

  4. 04

    Free trial

Starter and Professional plans include a 7-day free trial from the date you subscribe. A valid payment method is required at checkout to start a trial.

During the trial you have full access to the features of the plan you selected, subject to the same monthly call quota as the paid plan.

If you cancel before the trial period ends your subscription is terminated at no charge. If you do not cancel, your plan converts to paid at the end of the 7-day period and your payment method is charged on the selected monthly or annual cadence.

We reserve the right to limit one free trial per person, per plan. Attempting to obtain multiple trials through separate accounts or other means is a breach of these Terms.

  5. 05

    Fees and quotas

Plan fees, monthly call quotas, and overage behaviour are displayed on entylink.com/pricing and in your dashboard. Plans renew automatically on a monthly or annual cadence.

If you exceed your plan quota we return HTTP 402 on further calls until you upgrade or until the quota resets on the first day of the calendar month (UTC). We do not bill overages silently.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for VAT purposes.

  6. 06

    Acceptable use

You agree not to use Entylink to: (a) make decisions that are prohibited by applicable law, (b) circumvent the quota system through multiple accounts, (c) resell raw Entylink responses as a competing API without a written redistribution agreement, or (d) attempt to discover the identities of natural persons beyond what Companies House itself publishes.

When you republish Companies House-sourced data, you are responsible for complying with the Open Government Licence v3.0 and providing any required attribution to Companies House as the source.

  7. 07

    Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if a payment fails and is not remediated within 14 days, or if required by law. You may cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

  8. 08

    Data accuracy and availability

We provide the service on an "as is" basis. Companies House data can contain errors, delays, and omissions, and we pass these through. You must not rely on Entylink as the sole basis for a regulated decision unless you have independently verified the underlying record.

We target 99.9% monthly availability for the Professional plan and above, measured as 2xx/3xx responses from /v1/* endpoints excluding scheduled maintenance windows.

  9. 09

    Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of Entylink is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.

  10. 10

    Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales, except that we may bring an action to enforce these Terms or protect our intellectual property in any jurisdiction where you operate.

  11. 11

    Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email to the address on your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
